DEPARTMENT OF FIRE TECHNOLOGY & SAFETY ENGINEERING
The Department of Fire Technology and Safety is established in 2014 to run a Four Years Full Time B. Tech Course for the students who wish to be involved in the design of fire safety solutions through the application of prevailing knowledge and proven techniques.
Fire & Safety Engineering is an engineering branch which explores the various possibilities of preventing fires. It is an art and science of designing buildings and facilities for life safety and property protection in the event of an unwanted fire with application of scientific and engineering principles. The fire engineering design sectors are at the forefront of ensuring that fire safety is maintained and enhanced, without exhausting natural resources or damaging the environment.

AFFILIATION AND APPROVAL
The course is duly approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak
1.Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject.
2. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
B.TECH (LATERAL ENTRY- DIRECT IN 2ND YEAR)
1. Diploma in Engg. / Technology of 3 years duration or more from Haryana State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent /B.Sc Degree from a recognized university as defined by UGC and a pass at class XII with Mathematics as a subject or equivalent.
2. At least 45 % marks in aggregate (42.75% in case of candidates belonging to SC category of Haryana only)

IOCL, ONGC, HPCL, BPCL, BHEL, National Fertilizers, Refineries, Airport Authority of India, SAIL, GAIL, Thermal Power plants etc.
Manufacuring, Constructions, Petrochemical, Chemical, Heavy Engineering industries, Textile Mills, Plastic Companies, LPG/LNG bottling Plants.
Private Sectors :-
DLF, Malls, High Rise Buildings, Hospitals etc.
State Fire Service Department:-
