The Department of Fire Technology and Safety is established in 2013 to run a Four Years Full Time B. Tech Programme (Duly approved by AICTE) for the students who wish to be involved in the design of fire safety solutions through the application of prevailing knowledge and proven techniques.
Fire & Safety Engineering is an engineering branch which explores the various possibilities of preventing fires. It is an art and science of designing buildings and facilities for life safety and property protection in the event of an unwanted fire with application of scientific and engineering principles. The fire engineering design sectors are at the forefront of ensuring that fire safety is maintained and enhanced, without exhausting natural resources or damaging the environment.

ELIGIBILITY
B.TECH
Passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
Passed Diploma (in Engineering and Technology) examination with at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) subject to vacancies in the First Year, in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted.
B.TECH (LATERAL ENTRY- DIRECT IN 2ND YEAR)
Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.
OR
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
OR
Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
B.TECH (WORKING PROFESSIONALS- DIRECT IN 2ND YEAR)
Passed Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) in ANY branch of Engineering and Technology.
OR
Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category of Haryana Only) and passed 10+2 examination with Mathematics as a subject.
OR
Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector.
